In My Mailbox (#10)

In My Mailbox was created by Kristi at The Story Siren.  It's a perfect way to see who's reading and review what.  Awesome!

Now, this week is a big, big week for me: I got my first For Review books!  Four of them!  Four eBooks: three in a series that looks absolutely awesome, and a beautiful one that I'm reviewing and testing to see whether it's suitable for the title "Adult-YA Crossover".  So far, both of them are amazing!

For Review:

Predators of Darkness: Aftermath (The Darkness Series, Book One) by Leonard D. Hilley II (Goodreads | Amazon)
Beyond the Darkness (The Darkness Series, Book Two) by Leonard D. Hilley II (Goodreads | Amazon)
The Game of Pawns (The Darkness Series, Book Three) by Leonard D. Hilley II (Amazon)
Fear What Lurks In The Shadows...
These three books were given to me in eBook form from the author.  I was over the moon: shifters, sci-fi-thriller, paranormal all equal brilliant!  And it is so far - can't wait to see where it all goes.  Thank you Leonard D. Hilley II!

Across Eternity by Aris Whittier (Goodreads | Amazon)
This one was given to me by the author as well.  It's about past-lives and soulmates: amazing!  Techincally it's an adult book, but Aris wanted me to look at it from a 'Reader-of-the-YA-genre' perspective.  So far: loving it!  It's really beautiful, and I haven't come across anything like it before.  Thanks Aris!

Bought:

Between Shades of Gray
Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #1)Hush, Hush

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys (Goodreads | Amazon)
Have You Ever Wondered What A Human Life Is Worth?
I've wanted this one since I saw an interview on a blog whose name I have completely forgotten...  (I'm one of those people who'd forget her own head if it wasn't attached.)  And I have it now, and it looks absolutely amazing!
The Iron King (The Iron Fey, Book One) by Julie Kagawa (Goodreads | Amazon)
Just Because You Can't See Them
Doesn't Mean They Aren't There
I have wanted this since forever, and now I've got it!  *happy dance*  It looks so good, and I've seen positive reviews everywhere saying they loved it.  Can't wait to sink my teeth into it!
Red Riding Hood by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright & David Leslie Johnson (Goodreads | Amazon)
Believe The Legend.  Beware The Wolf.
I saw the movie trailer and I wanted the book there and then.  It looks so good!
Gracling (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, Book One) by Kristin Cashore (Goodreads | Amazon)
I bought Fire a little while ago, the second in the series, so I of course had to buy this one when I found it.  Looks good too!  ;)
Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, Book One) by Becca Fitzpatrick (Goodreads | Amazon)
A Fallen Angel... A Forbidden Love
Finally got Hush, Hush!  Yay!  (:

5 For £2?  How Can I Resist?

Bridget Jones's Diary10Lb Penalty
Second WindLord Jim (Penguin Classics)

Bridget Jones's Diary (Bridget Jones's Diary, Book One) by Helen Fielding (Goodreads | Amazon)
I've seen the movie, but I've never actually read the book.  But if it's half as funny as the film, I can't wait!
Kisses From Hell (Hell Collections) by Kristin Cast, Alyson Noel, Kelley Armstrong, Richelle Mead, Francesca Lia Block (Goodreads | Amazon)
I've had my eye on this, but have seen a few negative reviews.  So I decided not to buy it.  But then, come on!  5 for £2?  I had to buy it!  It would have been very silly not to...  :)
10lb Penalty by Dick Francis (Goodreads | Amazon)
Second Wind by Dick Francis (Goodreads | Amazon)
I already have twelve or something Dick Francis books; I just love the horse-mystery combo.  Now I have a couple more to add to my collection!
Lord Jim by Joseph Conrad (Goodreads | Amazon)
I love the classics, so picked this up on a whim.

Free On My Kindle:

13 Little Blue EnvelopesShattered: A Daughter's Regret
White FangFrankenstein

Winter's Passage (The Iron Fey, Book 1.5 -?-) by Julie Kagawa (Goodreads | Amazon)
An Iron Fey Novella
I think this takes place inbetween The Iron King and The Iron Daughter, but don't quote me on that.  I just got it 'cause it's in the series and it was free.  :)
13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson (Goodreads | Amazon)
Considering this is normally £4 or something, to get it for free was amazing.  The book sounds brilliant, and I can't wait for it!
Shattered: A Daughter's Regrets by Melody Carlson (Goodreads | Amazon)
Bought this almost on a whim: I was on a bit of a books-free high... new free books... if you're a Book Addict, that should explain it...
White Fang by Jack London (Goodreads | Amazon)
Saw the movie the other day, had a look on my Kindle.  Free!  So I bought it.  Simples.  ;)
Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (Goodreads | Amazon)
I already have this in paperback, but I bought this for free anyway.  Not altogether sure why, though...

Bought On My Kindle:

Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard (Goodreads | Amazon)
Never Trust A Pretty Girl With An Ugly Secret
I gave in to all the messages saying I should buy this one.  I started it, and it's great so far!  So glad I listened to you all: thank you!

So, that's what I got this week: I'm very pleased with it, to say the least!

Anyways, what do you have In Your Mailbox?
