Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Here are the rules:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
- Be careful not to include spoilers!
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!
So, this week my Teaser is from a book I'm reading on my Kindle, (I've decided to flick through, and stop randomly) Beastly by Alex Flinn. I've been flying through the book; it's addictive, and keeps to the story really well. I know lots of people don't like it... but so far I do. Well, anyway, here's my Teaser...
From Beastly by Alex Flinn, Chapter Five, Page 25
"I am not frightened of you, Kyle. I am frightened for you."
Beastly by Alex Flinn
Synopsis From Blurb:
I am a beast.
A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright, a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.
You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever - ruined - unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spelll, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly... beastly.
Amazing so far; love it! Then again, I've always loved Beauty and the Beast!
Does anyone else have any Teasers to share? :)
