Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Here are the rules:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
- Be careful not to include spoilers!
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser!
Ok, this week I'm cheating a little... I'm giving teasers out of a three books... and one of them's a little long, but I just couldn't resist! It's so funny! Well, anyway, they're from City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, Book One) by Cassandra Clare, Predators of Darkness: Aftermath (Darkness, Book One) by Leonard D. Hilley II, and Across Eternity by Aris Whittier. The first is just one of my books that has mainly been put on hold, and the last two are my For-Review books. So... here are the teasers!
From City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, Chapter Eleven, Page 181
"Don't order any of the faerie food," said Jace, looking at her over the top of him menu. "It tends to make humans a little crazy. One minute you're munching a faerie plum, the next minute you're running naked down Madison Avenue with antlers on your head. Not," he added hastily, "that this has ever happened to me."
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, Book One) by Cassandra Clare
Synopsis From Blurb:
Clary Fray is seeing things: vampires in Brooklyn and werewolves in Manhattan. Irresistibly drawn towards a group of sexy demon hunters, Clary encounters the dark side of New York City - and the dangers of forbidden love.
Loving it so far! Sexy demon hunters, humour, and demon-type-things all equal a Happy Book Addict!
From Predators of Darkness: Aftermath by Leonard D. Hilley II, Chapter One, Page 1
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: 2073
Dropping a cat from the top ledge of a ten-story office building was not the best way to remain hidden, but it was necessary.
Daniel Hutchinson assumed the cat was a shape-shifter - one of a thousand sinister prowlers roaming the streets, awaiting the proper moment to attack from his blindside and take him down.
Predators of Darkness: Aftermath (The Darkness, Book One) by Leonard D. Hilley II
Synopsis From Goodreads:
Fear What Lurks In The Shadows
The desolate streets of downtown Pittsburgh in 2073 are a reminder of the missile attack that forever changed the lives of the surviving scientists and students hidden in the fallout shelter of Helmsby’s Genetic Research Center. Believing themselves to be the only survivors, they station themselves inside the center until food supplies near depletion. Thinking the fallout has lessened, they emerge three years later to discover strange creatures patrolling the streets in search of human flesh and blood. The creatures possess the ability to shift their genomes and alter their appearances by realigning their genetic sequences. Daniel Hutchinson, their leader, teams with Lucas Ridale and together they set out to scavenge the area for food and supplies with the hope to find other survivors. But Daniel’s most recent journey uncovers mysteries more frightening than the shifters. He discovers the tip of Pittsburgh has been fenced off from the rest of the area. Low-flying helicopters observe the streets, making him ponder the question: Were the shifters released as simply part of a military experiment with humans being their prey?

My second For Review, and an awesome sci-fi-thriller! I am a-lovin' it!
From Across Eternity by Aris Whittier, Chapter One, Page 7
"You see me right now because you're special," she explained. "You remember me because you're special. But we're not supposed to remember each other and we're definately not supposed to remember when we go back." She looked at him. "I won't be special like you. I won't remember any of this when I'm born."
Across Eternity by Aris Whittier
Synopsis From Goodreads:
Born a genius; education, wealth, and prestige came easy to Logan Richards. Actually, there wasn’t much that Logan couldn’t learn or acquire. However, he knew there was more to life than money and power. Logan was determined to find the woman who he'd dreamed of his entire life and know what it was like to love her before he died.
Amber Lewis, a waitress for a five-star restaurant in, Dana Point, California, was overworked, stressed, and wary of life since her sister, Heather, had passed away. Then, one evening while working she fell hopelessly in love with Logan Richards, a chivalrous man who felt deeply familiar.
For Amber, it was the beginning of a voyage of self-discovery and renewal. For Logan, it was the completion of life. For each of them it was the deepest sort of love.
My first For-Review, I have less than a-hundred pages left: it's an amazing love story, with a past-lives twist, somthing new and really amazing! Loving this one too!
So, that's my Teasers!
