Teaser Tuesday (#21)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Here are the rules:
  • Open your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • Be careful not to include spoilers!
  • Share the title and author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser!
I have two teasers for you this week, from two amazing books.  Hope you like! :D

From Fracture by Megan Miranda, Chapter Two, Page 32
I was the miracle.  The fluke.  The anomoly.
Fracture by Megan Miranda
Synopsis From Goodreads:
Eleven minutes passed before Delaney Maxwell was pulled from the icy waters of a Maine lake by her best friend Decker Phillips. By then her heart had stopped beating. Her brain had stopped working. She was dead. And yet she somehow defied medical precedent to come back seemingly fine—despite the scans that showed significant brain damage. Everyone wants Delaney to be all right, but she knows she’s far from normal. Pulled by strange sensations she can’t control or explain, Delaney finds herself drawn to the dying. Is her altered brain now predicting death, or causing it?
Then Delaney meets Troy Varga, who recently emerged from a coma with similar abilities. At first she’s reassured to find someone who understands the strangeness of her new existence, but Delaney soon discovers that Troy’s motives aren’t quite what she thought. Is their gift a miracle, a freak of nature—or something much more frightening?
This is a great, great book!  I'm lovin' it!  :D

From Envy by Gregg Olsen, Chapter Ten, Page 56
Neither Taylor nor Hayle was aware that a pair of eyes was riveted to their every move.  Studying them.  Wondering from a dark place just what their rekindled relationship with the dead girl's family was all about.
Envy (Empty Coffins, Book One) by Gregg Olsen
Synopsis From Goodreads:

Crime lives--and dies--in the deceptively picture-perfect town of Port Gamble (aka “Empty Coffin”), Washington. Evil lurks and strange things happen--and 15-year-olds Hayley and Taylor Ryan secretly use their wits and their telepathic “twin-sense” to uncover the truth about the town's victims and culprits. Envy, the series debut, involves the mysterious death of the twins' old friend, Katelyn. Was it murder? Suicide? An accident? Hayley and Taylor are determined to find out--and as they investigate, they stumble upon a dark truth that is far more disturbing than they ever could have imagined.
Based on the shocking true crime about cyber-bullying,
Envy will take you to the edge--and push you right over.
This is seriously one of the best books I've read in a while.  And the best crime novel I have ever read.  I'm loving every moment of it, and am completely addicted to it at the minute.  I still haven't figured out who the killer is!  It's driving me mad!  *goes back to list of suspects*

Well, there are my teasers.  Hope they interest you all!

What are your teasers this week?
