Follow Friday (#8)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!

This week's Feature blog is...

And the question this week is...

"Keeping With The Dystopian And Apocalypse Theme That Seems To Be Running Rampant On Parajunkee.com, I Have One Very Hard Question For You: If You Were Stocking Your Bomb Shelter, What Books Would You HAVE To Include If You Only Had Space For Ten?"

Well, before I answer, can I just say hard, hard, mean, mean question!  It's an impossible question!  I have 500-odd books, and I can only choose ten?!
Ok, I'll answer now....  Um... err.... umm...
  1. Vampire Academy: Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead: love that book!
  2. Harry Potter and... the... Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling: my favourite HP book.  Gotta love HP!
  3. If I Stay by Gayle Forman: Cried bucketloads, so it may distract me from the impending doom. ;)
  4. Hunger Games... Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins: My fave HG, and very appropriate, I feel.
  5. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte: my favourite classic, and one of my favourite books.
  6. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa: I still have to read it, and I really want to!
  7. Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys: Want to read this too.
  8. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer: ah, almost-guilty-pleasure.  Love this book.
  9. Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder: wanna read it, still haven't.
  10. And finally... My Kindle!  I have 200-something books, so even I would have a little trouble getting through them all.  Sure, it's probably cheating... but I'd go mad without it!
Well, there you have it: my apocalyptic bookshelf.  What would be on your survival-book-list?

If you've found me through FF, leave me a link so I can follow you back!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

  2. Great list! I contemplated If I Stay but ultimately left if off in favor of Lovely Bones--simply a matter of the amount of time I've been in love with the book!

I contemplated taking my NookColor... :-)

    Happy Friday! (old follower)

  3. I would bring my NookColor too, but I assume in this disaster situation there will be a lack of power to charge it. That is the one thing Kindle seems to have over my NC with it's super-long battery life lol. I love all my extra features, apps and beautiful color though, so I'm still happy with my choice! Lol. I have to get a Kindle too and then it can be my survival ereader, haha. Anyway, new follower here, please stop by my blog to follow me too. Thank you and happy reading!

  4. Heh, I'd tut at you for sneaking, but it is an impossible question! I like the options you've chosen, I went for funny books on my list to help distract me from the grim reality of being in a bomb shelter!

  5. Tristan: Why, thank you. I'm rather fond of it. ;)
Jessi: Ooh, been meaning to read Lovely Bones! Is it as good as it's said to be?
Sandra: Oh, love my Kindle. The only thing bad is no colour! Thanks for the follow! And will do! :)
Karen: Oh, no! I forgot funny! *sigh* Maybe I should take something else...

    Thanks for the comments!
