In My Mailbox (#32)

In My Mailbox was created by Kristi at The Story Siren.  It's a perfect way to see who's reading and review what.  Awesome!

On Tuesday night, I attended: "Children's Reading Partners Exclusive Evening With Sophie McKenzie, Jenny Downham, Ally Kennen and Gregg Olsen".  The Reading Agency, who were behind the event, seems wonderful: they are working towards getting everyone to read, and for more books for libraries - two things I like very much!  And as for the authors: they were all amazing!  There was a sort of Author QI, for those of you who have seen it.  :)  Graham Marks asked questions and all the others answered, as well as giving a little reading from their latest books.  Oh, something I learned - be warned - is that authors eavesdrop.  Cafes and parks are the most popular areas, just so you know! :D  Anyway, I had a great time, got more books and got them all signed.  Plus I picked up a little swag while I was there!
And I got more swag when I got home too!  And giveaway prizes!  It's been a great week! *laughs*

Books from Evening:
Envy (Empty Coffin, #1)BeastYou Against Me
I SpyThe Set-up (Medusa Project, #1)
Envy (Empty Coffin, Book One) by Gregg Olsen (Goodreads | Amazon)
Murder Is Such A Dirty Word...
I saw this one on someone else's blog (can't remember who, though, due to my rather impressive forgetfullness) and wanted it.  So when I realised that the author was the Gregg Olsen at the evening, I was more than a little excited, to say the least!  It's absolutely amazing so far!  Thank you to Gregg for signing my book!  And for telling me that when you open the book, and pages between the cover and the first page (and ditto for the back) have scrabble-style letters on them.  The ones that are sort of shiny: write 'em down.  Once you read the book, you should be able to sort all the letters out in a secret kind of code.  Cool, huh?  :D
Beast by Ally Kennen (Goodreads | Amazon)
Some Secrets Are Too BIG To Keep
Ally gave a little reading of her latest book, but as I'd never read anything by her I decided to buy Beast, her first book.  It looks amazing!  Thanks to Ally for signing it and for the cute little badges she gave me!  They were worth staying up all night for!  (:
You Against Me by Jenny Downham (Goodreads | Amazon)
You Want This To Be A Lovestory?
I've already read this one and loved it - my review will be up soon, promise! - but how could I resist a copy signed by Jenny?  So, rather selfishly, I got one and signed it to me.  However!  I have a hardback copy and a signed You Against Me postcard, which I will be giving away at one point or another.  Keep a look out!  And thank you to Jenny for being so patient and signing everything!  :D
I Spy: The Constantinople Caper by Graham Marks (Goodreads | Amazon)
I already have a few books by Graham, but I thought this one looked rather good so I snagged it.  Again, it's signed so thanks to Graham!
The Set-Up (The Medusa Project, Book One) by Sophie McKenzie (Goodreads | Amazon)
I've been reading this one, but I have a second copy now, signed by Sophie, to giveaway.  I'm loving this series, so I hope that whenever I do my giveaway, the winner will love it too!

Swag from Evening:

Sister, Missing by Sophie McKenzie (Goodreads | Amazon)
There Was No Sign Of Her...
Squeeee!  I've been waiting for this one for... well, forever.  Since I first saw the cover.  I loved, loved, loved Girl, Missing, and so I was desperate for this one!  It's amazing so far - and I managed to smuggle it into the authors evening, and it's now signed by Sophie!  Sucess!  ;)

Whoa.  I had a seriously, seriously great week.   There was much dancing, all very happy.  And quite a bit of 'squeeing'.  God, I've probably driven anyone who's seen me all week round the bend!  Ah, well, too happy to care.  :D

That's me, but what's in your mailbox this week?
