Month of Guests 2013: It Was Lovely Reading You

It's a huge, huge pleasure to have the brilliant Hawwa from It Was Lovely Reading You here today!  She is one of the funniest people I know and I hope you enjoy her brilliant and bonkers rambling!! :D

MY BOOK BOYFRIENDS. aka. The Coolest Guys In Fiction Land.

It is a truth widely acknowledged that a girl in possession of good books must be in want of a book boyfriend.
Everyone knows it. I remember being asked by a girl I knew, who didn't read books, if I had a book boyfriend. She did say it in a sarcastic way...but I chose to ignore that part...and promptly reeled off a list - I don't think she was very impressed. BUT, the point of it all: It is no big feat if someone knows you are in love with a fictional guy. Although let me tell you, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACTUALLY DATE THEM. Seriously guys. This is the truest statement ever:

You want to know why?

I think I have a *slight* problem. Seriously. This is how I spend my days:

and it continues: (I don't think it will ever stop!)
and just when you think, oh, we have a conclusion. Everyone gets a clone. Happy days.
This happens:

And yes. as you can see from the date. This happened all on the same day. The result? WE NEVER CAME TO A CONCLUSION. *facepalm*
(but Will and Jem and all the guys on my list are mine really.. ok?)
But hey ho - the sun continues to rise, my bookshelf is still overflowing, and I have twitter court battles with my lovely buddies nearly every day...
ANYWAY, coming to the topic I am meant to be writing about!
Who are my Top Ten Book Boyfriends you ask?
Well I'll tell you:
-----------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
Starting off with the lovely, yes, you guessed it,
Mr William Herondale - The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare
I don't think anyone can deny that this adorable, BOOK LOVING guy is a swoon worthy attraction. For starters, he's a bad-ass shadow hunter, extremely loyal, HANDSOME, so so caring and did I mention handsome?
And right at Will's heels,

Augustus 'Gus' Waters - The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
...who didn't cry while reading The Fault In Our Stars? And raise your hand if you were drawn in my Gus's charms? *looks round at room filled with a sea of hands without surprise* I thought so. He has one leg, and he spouts wisdom at every turn guys, tell me what teenage boy would smoke a cigarette; but not smoke it and explain that it is a metaphor...
"You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing"
Have you thought of a guy yet? No? I'm not surprised. There's only one Gus after all..;)

Jem Carstairs - The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare
ncjvjnfc, mvnjfbncjhnf I LOVE HIM HE IS SUCH A GENTLEMAN AND SO SWEET AND ROMANTIC AND OMG I JUST...I CAN'T.....HE IS MINE PEOPLE. MINE.

Chaol Westfall -  Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
Well...where do I start. EXTREMELY FIT. He is Captain of The Guard after all...surprisingly romantic..*cough* BROOM CUPBOARD *cough* (read Crown of Midnight for...details..;)), an epic fighter, loyal, trustworthy...a good friend. :D Basically he's a mix up of all the good qualities you want..oh..and HE'S A GOOD DANCER PEEPS...

Park - Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
Park. Oh Park. I flailed over scenes with you. Seriously. Hand holding was never such fangirl worthy material. I mean, listen to this guy,
“You can be Han Solo,” he said, kissing her throat. “And I’ll be Boba Fett. I’ll cross the sky for you.”
He can bond with someone over comics, mix tapes and make-up. MAKE-UP. Tell me this guy isn't worthy of being in this list and... I will MAKE YOU THINK OTHERWISE.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peeta - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The boy with the bread. The boy who cared too much about a girl to mind whether he died or not. The boy who risked his life for someone else.  The boy who went into the arena, twice, and survived. Selfless. Likable. Generous. Romantic. Trustworthy. Loyal. THIS GUY IS EVERYTHING  everything. I don't know someone WHO DOESN'T LIKE PEETA. Gah, he is my dad's favourite character. Guys, my dad is one picky reader. And he said Peeta made the book. If Peeta ever came alive I don't think I'd have any problems getting parental permission to date that's for sure..;)

Harrison - Finding Cherokee Brown by Siobhan Curham
ME WUV HARRISON. k? He's basically a hot, shy, awkward, sweet, GRAFFITI ARTIST. OK? ok? OMG THE FAULT IN OUR STARS MOMENT..... bye.

Mal - Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
The best tracker in the whole of Ravka = Mal.
All I need to say is. Epic. Sweet. Caring. Romantic..care for a little quote anyone?
“I missed you every hour. And you know what the worst part was? It caught me completely by surprise. I'd catch myself just walking around to find you, not for any reason, just out of habit, because I'd seen something that I wanted to tell you about or because I wanted to hear your voice. And then I'd realize that you weren't there anymore, and every time, every single time, it was like having the wind knocked out of me. I've risked my life for you. I've walked half the length of Ravka for you, and I'd do it again and again and again just to be with you, just to starve with you and freeze with you and hear you complain about hard cheese every day. So don't tell me why we don't belong together," he said fiercely.”
Yeah..little..sorry about that!

Dorian - Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
PRINCE. Dorian. Yes. Prince. Who passes up a prince I ask you?! A handsome one at that. Who is a good fighter. WHO LIKES READING. HE'S A BOOK LOVER. O________________O HEAR THAT! A GUY BOOK LOVER! *scatters confetti* oh and he gives the most epic presents..puppies!

Four - Divergent by Veronica Roth
Oh Four, you were so silent and intimidating and you had tattoos and a constant frown on your face. And then Tris came along and BAM. Out came the sweet, tender, protective side of you that you had always hidden. Dauntless...:D
and. Last but not least. (an extra because i am such a rebel..)

Butterfly - The Elites by Natasha Ngan
What can I say? HIS NAME IS BUTTERFLY. He has wings..He is adorable, protective, sweet, loyal and errrm...handsome...;) I think I speak for everyone when I say please come to life...?!
-----------------------------------
*fanfare*
AND THAT'S A WRAP.
The whole point of this post? To tell you who not to fall for, because I already own them..;) Haha, I'm joking but really, if you haven't read any of these books then read them now OTHERWISE YOU ARE MISSING OUT.
Phew. So I hoped you enjoyed the post. Thank you to Megan for letting me Caps-Locky-ify her blog and err..yeah. Creds to ZoeAmyRita and Sunny for..the twitter court battle..WHICH I REALLY WON.

Hullo there! The name's Hawwa. Teenage girl. Book worm.  Gif lover (I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID NOT ADD GIFS INTO THIS POST BUT IF I HAD IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TOO LONG! *sobs*) Excessive caps lock user. Twitter Maniac. AWESOME PERSON WHO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH...;) My little corner of the net has been dubbed It Was Lovely Reading You where I ramble on about books, rant about books, fangirl about books..you get my drift. ;) I also host giveaways and *whisper* I am actually planning a HUGE one for when I get to 300 GFC followers so..*wink wink*..take the hint..;)
You can find me mostly on twitter (although I will most likely be killing my friends by over exposure to caps lock usage in the confines of direct messaging because I have been sent to twitter jail for tweeting too much - WOW LONG SENTENCE!... -_-) but I also do check my e-mails practically every day so just drop my a line to say hello - no matter what it looks like, I don't bite..;p!
