Follow Friday (#20)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read, and it's such an awesome idea!

Our Feature This Week Is:

Our Question:
"What Is Your Biggest Pet Peeve When It Comes To Books? Maybe You Don’t Like Love Triangles Or Thin Plots? Tell Us About It!"
Ok, biggest pet peeve...  I love well-done triangles, thin plots do annoy me...  Ok, I've got my Biggest Pet Peeve: Whiny, weak heroines who always need rescuing by strong, handsome boys.  I need lead gals who can kick butt, maybe even occasionally saving the boy, and always have a strong, witty retort ready-and-waitin'.  I mean, ok, some of the boys are cute, but I like a heroine who can take care of herself!  It just bugs me that some girls in YA novels can be so... useless helpless!  Give me a Rose or a Katniss anyday!

Added 10minutes later:
I MUST add typos to my Pet Peeve list.  I have this annoying talent of picking up every.single.typo. in a book.  It drives me insane to have a book full of typo after typo.  I just can't concentrate on the story line, on the characters.  The book itself could be amazing, prizewinningly stunning, but if there are typos, I find I just can't enjoy it!
I finally picked this up again!  Yay!  I've missed FF!

What's your biggest pet peeve?  :D
Now, have a great weekend all! :D

Follow Friday (#19)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read, and it's such an awesome idea!
Our Feature This Week Is:
Ok, guess what??  I'M THE FEATURE THIS WEEK!!!  I'm kinda excited, if my capitols didn't give that away.  It's just such a big thing that I take part in every week, and now I'm a feature.  Ok, I'll shut up now and get to the question.  :)
<-- My icon.  ^.^

Our Question:

"Let's Step Away From Books For A Second And Get Personal. What T-Shirt Slogan Best Describes You?"
Now, this one is a hard-un.  I may go with something ridiculous, like:
Fiction Is Better Than Fact.  Fact.
Cause I love living in my fantasy worlds.
When I was little, I swore this was my favourite slogan ever:
Forget Falling In Love.  I'd Much Rather Fall In Chocolate!
Then I went through a horse-loving stage (that I still haven't gotten over) and changed my mind to:
Been There.  Jumped That.  Got The Scars To Prove It.
My family also decided that, when I hit the teenage years that my official title was:
Grumpy In The Mornings.
They even brought me a pair of pyjamas with the slogan on, cheeky lot.
But, now, the only T-Shirt slogan I can think of to describe me is:
Live Your Dreams.
After all, no one else can live them for you.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Follow Friday (#18)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!
Our Feature this week is...
The Bloggers @ We Fancy Books
We Fancy Books
And our question:
"Name 3 Authors That You Would Love To Sit Down And Spend An Hour Or A Meal With Just Talking About Either Their Books Or Get Advice On Writing From?"
Oooh, that's a hard one.  I think saying: every author I've ever read and whose book I adored is cheating, right?  Ok, seriously...
Party One:
  • J.K. Rowling: Now, how could I not meet J.K.?  She is the most amazing author, the one who truly got me addicted to magic.  She's made me laugh, cry, scream and sit on the edge of my seat.  Thought, if I met her for an hour, I might just sit there, staring.  Or ask her for more infomation on what happened after the big battle, about the Weasleys...  And ask her how she came up with such an incredible, amazing, fantastic book.
  • Richelle Mead: Rose Hathaway is my favourite heroine, and Dimitri Belikov is just, well, wow.  I love her Vampire Academy series to pieces.  So if I met her, I'd ask how she came up with such amazing characters.  And how much Rose would be in Bloodlines.  And tell her she's awesome.
  • Sophie McKenzie: I love her books!  She's one of my favourite action author, plus she's great at romance too!  I'd love to know what she's planning next, what's going to happen in Sister, Missing.  And how she has writing that is beautiful, but never slows down the pace.
Party Two:
  • Cassandra Clare: Again, I love her!  The Mortal Instruments is one of my favourite series.  I want to know everything about the books she's planning, and how she manages to make the most suspenseful moment suddenly hilarious with one of her characters' snarky comments.  I love her!
  • Suzanne Collins: Ok, I LOVE the Hunger Games trilogy.  I am in awe of Suzanne Collins' mind.  She's genius.  I'd want to know where she got her inspiration from.  And what she's planning next.
  • Julie Kagawa: I am currently in love with the Iron Fey series.  Once against: genuis.  I want to know where she got the idea from.  'Cause, let's face it, how many of us have come up with Faeries like hers?  They're unique.  I love her books.  :)
Yeah, ok, I know that's cheating.  But I could have gone onto THREE parties easily.  Jane Austen, Shakespeare, Terry Pratchett, Beth Revis, Alyxandra Harvey, Anthony Horowitz, Charles Dickens, Bram Stoker, Joss Stirling....  I'm stopping now.

Oops.  How is it I always manage to go way over the limit?  If you think about it, it's pretty impressive really.  :D

Well, if you've found me through FF, drop a link.  If not: what three authors would you most like to meet?

Oh, before I go, when I reach 200 followers, I'm going to hold a giveaway!  So pop by to have a chance of winning!  :D

Have a great weekend!

Follow Friday (#17)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!
Our Feature this week is...
And our question...
"What Do I Do When I Are Not Reading?"
You mean there's times whe you aren't meant to read?  Hehe, ok, seriously.  Work-related-stuff is dull, so I like to concentrate on the stuff I'm slightly more obsessed with.  Which is...
Umm, well, I blog.  I write reviews.  I search the wide web from cheap books that I can say are a good "deal" when people give me disapproving looks.  I talk to my blogger friends about books.  I blog a lot.
I also have an addiction to crime dramas (like CSI, NCIS, Castle, Criminal Minds, Lie To Me and The Mentalist) as well as paranormal shows like Supernatural, Vampire Diaries and Charmed.
Of course, I like to be with family, friends and such.  I have a big, mad, brilliant family.  It's a must to be slightly insane to survive in it.  I work hard at surviving... which basically means I am completely loopy.  ;)
I love to be outside, especially if there are cola ice lollies.  Oh, and I go to bookshops, libraries and more or less anywhere that contains and sells books.  I have a slight addiction.  :D
Oops, longer than I planned!  Hope you weren't all bored to death!
If you've found me through FF, drop me a link!  It not: what do you do when you aren't reading?  If, of course, there is any time you spend without a book in your hands!  :D
Have a great weekend all!

Follow Friday (#16)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!
Our Feature this week is...
Photobucket
And our question...
"ACK! Your Favorite Book/Movie Character (Example Hermione Granger Played By The Emma Chick) Just Walked Into The Room! Who Is It And What Would Be Your First Reaction? You Get Extra Points If You Include Visual Stimulation."
Hmm, good question.  I honestly dread to think what I'd do...  Scream like an obsessed fan-girl... blush and stutter and trip over my own feet... or worse yet: faint.  I guess it all really depends on the character.  So, to help you all know how obsessed with my book/movie characters, here is a list with detailed reactions and pictures.  Enjoy!
  •  Jasper Hale played by Jackson Rathbone from The Twilight Saga.  From the first time I read the book to when I first saw the film, I fell in love with Jasper/Jackson. So my reaction to him walking in would be fairly dramatic.  A squeal, then running to him (almost tripping over my own - or worse, someone else's - feet in the process) and beg for him to change me into a vampire.  Then, I'd blush, and propaby would have scared poor Jasper/Jackson to death.... I never said my reactions would be graceful or logical.  Or sensible.
  • Jace Wayland played by Jamie Campbell Bower from The Mortal Instruments.  This is being made into a film.  *jumps up and down like a mad thing*  I'm rather excited.  Even though Jamie wasn't my first choice, a picture changed my mind.  I edited said picture, to make it look like Shadowhunter clothing.  I hope you like.  Now, as to my reaction to Jace/Jamie....  Again, scream, maybe jump up and down a little, trip, then beg for (even more embarassing...) a snarky Jace quote.  God.  I sound like such an idiot.  One of these will end sensibly... I hope.  Um...  Maybe.
  • Alice Cullen played by Ashley Greene from The Twilight Saga.  I love mad, pixie-like, little Alice.  So, if I ran into Alice/Ashley, I'd grin - a lot - look all shy, walk over and stammer something incoherent.  I'd blush, stare at the ground, and mumble.  Ah, so mature.
  • Luna Lovegood played by Evanna Lynch from Harry Potter.  She's so wonderfully insane!  Me and her would get on like a house on fire.  It's a too-often-used joke in my family that I'm a mix between Luna and Hermione.  Insanely clever.  With no common sense.  And a habit of talking nonsense.  So, if me and Luna/Evanna bumped into one another, I'd tilt my head and ask, "Did you see the pigeon?  I think it's a boy.  He walks with a boys' swagger".  And Luna/Evanna would squint at me, radish earrings swinging and say, "Your head is full of nargles, you know."  And I would smile and nod, "Yes, they seem to like it in there."  "That's very nice."  "Isn't it just?"  And on we would go, talking complete and utter nonsense.
I'm sure I could go on.  And mention numerous other book/movie characters, including Katniss, Peeta, Clary, Hermione, Simon, Edward, Rose...  The list would go on and on.  But I will stop before I bore you all to death.  But, hey, no fainting!

Well, that's my list of complete randomness.  Hope it made you laugh.
If you found me through FF, drop me a link so I can follow back!  If not, what would you do if you met your fave book/movie star.  :D

Ooh, and before you go, check out my Fortnight of Guests, which includes our lovely host, Rachel from Parajunkee!  Keep your eye out, 'cause we have so awesome guest posts coming up!  :)

Have a great weekend!

Follow Friday (#15)

I'm back!  I've been gone for ages, I know, but now I am back and I have 4 or 5 reviews on the way, including a few books not quite out yet...  Ah, I've missed blogging!  Ooh, and keep an eye out for the Fortnight of Guests, 'cause let me tell you, it's coming soon...

I'm A Book Shark

And our question is...

"In Light Of The Summer Solstice. Also Known As Midsummer... Let's Talk About Fairies. What Is Your Favorite Fairy Tale Or Story That Revolves Around The Fae?"

Ok, easy peasey.  A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare.  It's my favourite play, and I just love the mischief, rhyming and general story.  All the magic and the fairy king and queen, the mistakes in love and the guy with a donkey head: ah, what's not to love?  The characters are brilliant too - Puck in particular.
Midsummer Night's Dream: Oxford School Shakespeare
Which may be why my fave YA faerie series is The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa.  I am in love with the first book at the moment!  The NeverNever (I can't read that without giggling.  Shows just how mature I am), the characters, the writing.  Love it!
As for fairy tales, I always loved Beauty and the Beast.  The orignial, by Jeanne-Marie le Prince de Beaumont.  Just the seeing beneath superficial looks to what someone really's like inside.  The most beautiful can be the ugliest on the inside, whereas beneath the looks of a beast there can be true beauty.  Poetical, beautiful; I love it.  'Course, watching the Disney film with all the catchy songs helps as well!  ;)
Beauty and the Beast

Well, that's me.  Nice odd variety for ya.  If you found me through FF, drop a link. (But it I don't comment, it's probably 'cause I can't.  Sorry!  My account's playing up, still.  Don't suppose anyone knows how to sort that out?)  If not, what's your fave fairy/fey tale?  :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

"The Magic Book Fairy Pops Out Of Your Cereal Box And Says 'You And Your Favorite Character (From A Book Of Course) Can Switch Places!' Who Are You Going To Switch With?"

OMG!  Has there been a harder question?  Ok, um... uh... umm...  Alright.  The choices are:
Some of these may be a little odd, but then I am odd.  And a nice variety: a dhampir, a Shadowhunter or two, a couple of witches, some humans and a faerie.  (:

Well, that's me.  If you've found me through FF, leave me a link!  If not, who would you be?

Our Feature Blog this week is:

And our question is:

"What Are You Doing To Prepare For An Upcoming Zombie Apocalypse And/Or The Return Of Mel Gibson To The Silver Screen?  (Both Of Which Could Be Terrifying.)"

Oh, well, to prepare myself for the apocalypse I've been watching lots of The Walking Dead and Supernatural.  I've been practicing my shooting (on computor games) and if a zombie decides to lock me in a boot, I know I can get out.  I have a dog who will growl if anything undead gets too near and lots of sneaky hiding places to shoot at zombies from and just, well, hide.  And, of course, I'm a vampire and I have a werewolf friend, so together I think we can destroy all the zombies.  They're not that hard to kill, right?

Well, that's my FF!  Can I just say, I love this question!

If you've found me through FF, drop me a link.  If you're not taking part, how are you preparing for the upcoming apocalypse and the possibility of Mel Gibson returning to the big screen?

Our Feature Blog this week is:

Louise @ Book Bliss

And our question is...

"How Many Books Do You Read In A Week?  And In What Form Do You Read Them, Or Listen To Them?"

Well, ever since I got my Kindle, I've been reading a book on there, and one or two hard copies.  Since I started getting requests, I now read one or two of them on my Kindle, and still two or three hardcopies.  I'd like to read a classic at all times, but it's gotten a little harder since I began to juggle.
How many I read really depends on how busy I am.  Some weeks I finish two or three.  Some only one.  Varies.

Well, asked and answered.  :)

If you've found me through FF, drop a link so I can follow back!  If not, well, you could answer the question too. (:

Follow Friday (#11)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!

Our Feature blog this week is...
Ninja Girl @ Ninja Girl Reads
And our question is...
"Can You Tell Us Five Quirky Habits Or Things About You?"
Quirky...  Um, ok, here I go:
  1. I like to read four or five books at once: two on the kindle (one often a classic), a newly-released book, and an older book that's been on the shelf for a while.  I sometimes add books I'm rereading, like the Harry Potter I'm reading at the moment.
  2. I have an unusual habit of talking too much, about random things.  I talked for like half an hour about angel/devil mythology, before going right into talking about a CSI show.  I also ask too many questions.  Hence, lots of 'you're mad' looks.  ;)
  3. I believe in the whole world of paranormal.  Yes, that earns mad looks too, but I do.  I think the world's too big for there not to be something out there, unseen...
  4. I put notes or blank bits of paper into the chapters of my books.  It started as a way of reminding myself of something.  Now, it's just my Quirk that I can't seem to stop...
  5. I'm very protective of my books.  I make sure they have nice homes, that they aren't hurt (bent) and that they're safe from the elements.  And if someone says something mean about a book I'm reading, I stroke it so that its feelings aren't hurt.  Yep, I am mad.  But all the best people are a little bonkers.  (:
Well, there are a few of my many quirks.  My aunt often jokes that I'm 'special in the head'.  I'm not sure if I should be offended or what by that comparision...

If you've found my through FF, drop me a link so I can follow back.  If not, why not tell us a few of your quirks.

Have a good weekend, all!

Follow Friday (#10)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!

The question the week is:

"What Is The Most Emotional Scene In A Book That You Have Read Lately?"

Hmm... tricky.  I got insanely emotional during Catching Fire, but that was mainly because it was the end of a series I was completely in love with, though there were some overwhelmingly emotional scenes as well.  The same end-of-series emotional was Last Sacrifice, but that too had powerful scenes.  Delirium was really moving, as well as absolutely beautiful, and I cried during that as well.
The most emotional thing I've read in, well, probably forever, is Before I Die by Jenny Downham.  I cried bucketloads, and I can still tell you quotes of the top of my head, even though I read it months ago.

Well, that's my answer.  Sorry this is late: blogspot was down yesterday, and I only just got round to checking my laptop.

If you've found me through FF, leave me a link so I can hop back!  If not, what's the most emotional scene you've read recently?

Have a great rest-of weekend all!

Magnet4Books' Reviews

And the question is...

"What Character In A Book Would You Most Like To Be, What Character Would You Most Like To Date?"

Ooh, good question!  Umm... I think I'd be Rose from Vampire Academy, cause she's so strong, brave and kick-butt.  Failing that, I'd be Katniss from The Hunger Games.  Being her would be hard, horrible and - definately - scarring, but... she's so amazing.  I'd love to be as strong as her.  Or, maybe even Alice from Twilight.  She's just so wonderfully weird!  Ooh, or Hermione Granger or Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.  Hermione's brilliantly smart and Luna's brilliantly bonkers!
Now, as for dating.  There are too many fictional guys!  I'm going for: Dimitri from Vampire Academy, Jace from The Mortal Instruments, Peeta from The Hunger Games, or Nicholas from The Drake Chronicles

I know, I know: too many!  But boys in books are just better. ;)

So, that's my answer.  Most likely it's cheating, but, hey!  What can I do? (:

If you've found me through FF, drop me a link so I can follow you back!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

And the question this week is...

"Keeping With The Dystopian And Apocalypse Theme That Seems To Be Running Rampant On Parajunkee.com, I Have One Very Hard Question For You: If You Were Stocking Your Bomb Shelter, What Books Would You HAVE To Include If You Only Had Space For Ten?"

Well, before I answer, can I just say hard, hard, mean, mean question!  It's an impossible question!  I have 500-odd books, and I can only choose ten?!
Ok, I'll answer now....  Um... err.... umm...
  1. Vampire Academy: Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead: love that book!
  2. Harry Potter and... the... Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling: my favourite HP book.  Gotta love HP!
  3. If I Stay by Gayle Forman: Cried bucketloads, so it may distract me from the impending doom. ;)
  4. Hunger Games... Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins: My fave HG, and very appropriate, I feel.
  5. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte: my favourite classic, and one of my favourite books.
  6. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa: I still have to read it, and I really want to!
  7. Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys: Want to read this too.
  8. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer: ah, almost-guilty-pleasure.  Love this book.
  9. Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder: wanna read it, still haven't.
  10. And finally... My Kindle!  I have 200-something books, so even I would have a little trouble getting through them all.  Sure, it's probably cheating... but I'd go mad without it!
Well, there you have it: my apocalyptic bookshelf.  What would be on your survival-book-list?

If you've found me through FF, leave me a link so I can follow you back!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

"What Is On Your Current Playlist Right Now?"
Hmm...  now this is a good one.  Let me find my Ipod...
Ok, here's my playlist, as it is at this moment in time.  It kinda changes weekly:
Bruno Mars
Florence & the Machine
Paramore
Lady Gaga
Cee lo Green
Glee!
Muse
So, that's my playlist, kinda random, but, hey!, I'm completely random.  (:
Well, anyway, if you've found me via FF, leave a message and a link so I can follow you back!  If not, well, what's on your playlist?

And the question this week is...
"Do You Have Anyone That You Can Discuss Books With IRL?  Tell Us About Him/Her."
Well, I talk to everyone really, whether they want to hear about it or not.  I have friends to talk to, but it's my family I talk to most.  See, my whole family is very booky, so meetings often end up in a conversation that starts with, "Have you read..."  I have two cousins who are paranormal-fantasy readers, so I lend a lot of books to, and we talk about them after.    My aunt, mother and me read a lot of similar books as well: more 'thought-provoking' ones, so we often talk when we all get together.  None of them are really as into YA books as me, though one of my cousins is coming around, all thanks to moi!
Come to think of it, I don't think I meet with anyone without talking about books...  I should probably do something about that...
So, that's my answer: I just love the 'IRL' (in real life). (:
Well, thanks for stopping by!  If you've found my through FF, leave a link so I can follow you back!  If not, who do you talk to about books 'in real life'?
Thanks, and have a great weekend all!

And the question this week is...

"Do You Judge A Book By It's Cover?"

Normally, no.  But I do occasionally.  I don't like labels, so I try to ignore covers, go by blurbs, first few pages or recommendations.  Ocassionally, though, I do buy books for covers.  Some are brilliant, some not so much.  And some books with horrible covers turn out to be amazing.
For example:
Delirium by Lauren Oliver has a beautiful cover, and was a 5* book (in my opinion).
Whereas, while Halo by Alexandra Adornetto had the most gorgeous cover ever, it was only a 3¾* one (once again, in my opinion).

So yes, I do.  But I try really hard not to.

So, that's my answer.

And the question this week is...

"What is the book that you really don't want to admit to loving?"

Now, this is a hard one.  I'm really quite open about what books I like: I don't care if people think I'm insane (which is a good thing, as that is what all my family thinks of me).  But, I guess I do have one or two guilty pleasures...  One is Shakespeare: everytime I mention how Romeo and Juliet or King Lear being on my favourites list, people tend to stare at me like I've lost my mind.  Did you know that apparently it's weird to be able to understand Shakespeare-talk?  Another would be all my movie/TV tie-ins (Buffy, X Files, Charmed), and a 7+ series called Beast Quest.  I don't know if any of you remember, but a few weeks ago, a boy called William did a review for my blog (you can see it: here).  Well, he has a twin brother, Joshua, who loved the series by Adam Blade and made me read them.  Honest, he actually pestered me every time he saw me until I gave in.  The books are easy, definately too young for me, but full of action and mythical creatures.

Well, there are the books I can't admit to loving.  Only, I guess I've just admitted...  Well, anyway!  Sorry if I bored you with a that!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you found me through FF, leave a link so I can follow you back.  Once again, if not, you could always leave a comment telling us about your guilty pleasure!

Confessions of a Page Turner”=
And the question this week is...
"Give Us Five Book Related Facts Silly Facts About You."
Hmm, silly book related facts... Well...
  1. I hate cracks in spines - and I mean hate.  I only open books as far as I need to, no further, to spare my poor books.
  2. For some reason or another, I started to put slips of paper with notes I needed for various tasks into the chapters of my books.  I knew that if they were in my book I'd always be ready because my books go everywhere with me.  The habit has stuck, and along with notes I now have plain scraps of paper in the chapters, just in case I need to remember something.  It also helps me see how long the chapter is.  I call it my Quirk.
  3. I like to read a YA/adult/modern book and a classic at all times, to balance everything out, or at least a classic every couple of books.  It started because when I was younger I'd buy my teen books, and my parents bought me the odd classic.  They saw them as educational, and didn't think I should have to pay to learn.  I was more than happy to agree! ;)  Now I have my kindle, and so I read a classic on there, which is cool, easy and they're free!  I also love to read more than one book at a time, say two YA paperbacks, a classic and maybe a YA on my kindle.  I love having the option of jumping between books when one gets too scary/sad/boring.
  4.  I buy waay too many books: my TBR pile is 100 odd books - and that isn't counting the ones on my kindle.  I'm fairly certain I'm a CBB: Complusive Book Buyer!
  5. All my books are arranged in alphabetical order by the author's name, and I want to put them into genres, and then into alphabetical order again!  If I could, I'd have a whole room as a mini library, and have all the different genres on their own bookshelves!  At the moment, my books are just spilling of my bookcase onto windowsills, my bedroom floor and are piled on top of the case as well.  Very precarious!
Well, that's a little about me, and my rather insane, obsessive habits and a few facts thrown in.

If you found my through FF, leave your link so I can follow you back, and if you aren't participating in it, why not leave a few book-related facts about you anyway?

Have a great weekend all!

Follow Friday (#2)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!  I can't believe I've only just caught on!

And the Feature blog this week is...
Gone with the Words
And the question is this week is...
"How did you come up with your blog name?"
Well, I didn't so much "come up with" my blog name.  It was more of a spur-of-the-moment name: I didn't think, really.  I guess it just felt right.  I've been a book addict for as long as I remember - since I was a little girl.  And, voila.  We have the Book Addicted Girl.  And that is how the name was born.  Probably not the most original, but I like it, and it suits me perfectly.

So, that's how I came up with The Book Addicted Girl.  If you've found me through FF, leave a link so I can follow you back!  For those of you that aren't, why not tell us how you came up with your name?

Have a good weekend!

Follow Friday (#1)

And The Feature Blog this week is...

Anyway, the (brilliant) question this week is:

"Who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?"

Well, I'm Megan-the-Girl, I'm based in the UK and I'm a self-confessed Compulsive Book Buyer.  I've decided to tell you more about Meg-As-A-Girl, rather than Meg-At-Work.  So, when I'm not reading or working, I'm playing with my dog (Hannah), updating my blog or writing little stories that I never seem to finish.  I'm a Cancer, a Summer Child, who's also insanely random, and comes out with questions like: "Why do you cross your fingers for luck?" at insanely random (and occasionally not very appropriate) times.  I rode horses all the time when I was younger, and used to play the violin.  My favourite subject has always been English, and for as long as I can remember, I've had no common sense.   I love spending time with my family and friends, my favourite animals are dogs, horses and dolphins.  As well as my CBB, I'm also addicted to crime shows, like CSI, The Mentalist, Castle, NCIS and Criminal Minds.  My favourite paranormal-type TV shows are The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural (love the Winchesters!  And series 4&5 were so funny!), Being Human and Charmed.
I've been blogging since December 2010, but only really got into it during the New Year.  I started my blog so I could find equally obsessed book addicts, and I'm glad to say I have!  I have a TBR pile that grows weekly (not lying there) and I've read as long as I've remembered.  Since I've been blogging my Wishlist has tripled!

So, that's all about Meg-the-Girl.  If you've found me through FF, leave your link so I can follow you back!  For those of you that aren't taking part, why not comment a little about you as a Boy/Girl?  Or even better: follow the link and join in!

Have a great weekend people!
