Follow Friday (#11)

Follow Friday is a fun way for bloggers to find new blogger friends!  It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View, and it's such an awesome idea!

Our Feature blog this week is...
Ninja Girl @ Ninja Girl Reads
And our question is...
"Can You Tell Us Five Quirky Habits Or Things About You?"
Quirky...  Um, ok, here I go:
  1. I like to read four or five books at once: two on the kindle (one often a classic), a newly-released book, and an older book that's been on the shelf for a while.  I sometimes add books I'm rereading, like the Harry Potter I'm reading at the moment.
  2. I have an unusual habit of talking too much, about random things.  I talked for like half an hour about angel/devil mythology, before going right into talking about a CSI show.  I also ask too many questions.  Hence, lots of 'you're mad' looks.  ;)
  3. I believe in the whole world of paranormal.  Yes, that earns mad looks too, but I do.  I think the world's too big for there not to be something out there, unseen...
  4. I put notes or blank bits of paper into the chapters of my books.  It started as a way of reminding myself of something.  Now, it's just my Quirk that I can't seem to stop...
  5. I'm very protective of my books.  I make sure they have nice homes, that they aren't hurt (bent) and that they're safe from the elements.  And if someone says something mean about a book I'm reading, I stroke it so that its feelings aren't hurt.  Yep, I am mad.  But all the best people are a little bonkers.  (:
Well, there are a few of my many quirks.  My aunt often jokes that I'm 'special in the head'.  I'm not sure if I should be offended or what by that comparision...

If you've found my through FF, drop me a link so I can follow back.  If not, why not tell us a few of your quirks.

Have a good weekend, all!

Hey Megan :)
I just stopped by to say hi - and yes, I stroke books too :D
More of a "don't worry, I still love you" feeling right?

I talk to much when I am nervous!

Jessica: Oh, so glad I'm not the only one that does that. My brain just goes faster than my mouth. ;)
Deepali: Precisely! That's a better way to put it. Doesn't make me sound quite so mad. ;) Will do!

Thanks for the comments!

I will talk extensively about very random things (mythology, Harry Potter, whatever), too. It does earn you some rather odd stares. :)

New follower from FF! Love your blog, and looking forward to reading what you think of Scorpia Rising!

I can rarely read more than one book at a time and always envy those who can!

I used to read about 10 books at a time! But then I stopped and realised I could get through a book quicker by only reading the one! I ask too many questions too :D I talk too much too, in fact, I never shut up! I am protective of my books too - I went through a phase a while ago when I COULD NOT break the spin of my books. I just thought it looked terrible! And I hate lending them to people who don't mind books properly. This one girl gave one of my favourite books and she bent back half the cover! I had to force myself not to get angry at her!!! Have a great weekend too!

I just read your post, and I'm so happy you love Jane, too :) He's got looks, smarts and acting skills, a great combo. Plus, I saw your comment over at Jessica's blog. You simply must read Perfect You! (dials it back a bit) Didn't mean to come off all demanding lol. But really, that book is one of my absolute favorites, and I hope you'll enjoy it.

Hi, I'm a new follower! I can completely talk about random things too, and my brain is usually thinking about 20 things at once. And... I'm mad too cause I totally take care of my books and stroke them too :).

This is a fun question. I’m learning so much about everybody and I don’t think most of us are as quirky as we think we are.

My quirks seem normal enough. As I wrote them I woke up to the fact a lot of my quirks create inner conflicts. I’ve got a lot to think about!

Haha, I always read multiple books at a time. The only problem is that sometimes I forget about a book I was reading. A bad habit that I'm trying to break, but oh well :) I am obsessed about keeping my books in perfect condition! I think most avid reader's are. Haha, and it always irks me whenever I have a series that has a mix of paperback and hardcover, I only like one or the other. I think we all have some weird quirks :) Happy Friday!

LOL, I tend to get weird looks for my ramblings as well. ;) I kinda like it though. Being the rambling one that is! Hahah, how fund would it be not to talk about anything and everything, when it suits you? Haha!

Cliona: Eek, hate people like that! Never trust one who does not take care of a book. I think that's the quote. Thanks! ;)
Ninja Girl: Jane definately has it all! Love him. (: I'm going to: it looks amazing. And I sound like that all the time. ;) Thanks for the follow!
Jen: Thanks for the follow! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that!
Howard: Hmm, curious. Most of my quirks are just 'cause I'm mad. ;)
Tessa: I'm not quite as fussed about series: if I love the series, I buy the first copy available! Literally. Thanks!
Bex: I like being the rambling one too. It's more fun than being the one who says nothing. :)
Alison: Love reading more than one at once! ;o)
