In My Mailbox (#59)

In My Mailbox was created by Kristi at The Story Siren. It's a perfect way to see who's reading and review what. Awesome!

Ok.  Seems like forever since I've done one of these.  Safe to say I've had a pretty busy few weeks.   I've been to three bookish events.  The first was a YA Crime Fiction Panel with Chris Ould, Gregg Olsen and Niall Leonard.  It was so great to meet Chris and Niall, and so brilliant to see Gregg again - he's the nicest person ever!  It was so great to haer them all talk about crime books - one of my fave genres! - and about how it's wriggling its way into YA lit!  Yay!! :D

Then it was onto Michelle Paver's launch party for her new book Gods and Warriors.  Formore info on that, you can check my post on the Spinebreakers site!

Finally, I attended the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize and Young Critics Award.  What a mouthfull!  I've been part of The Guardian's online Children's Books site for a little bit now, and was lucky enough to be able to attend the awards as a reporter.  Check out my blog post on The Guardian Children's Books! :)

I also got some great books for review, as well as, uh, buying quite a few.  I blame the Crime Fiction Panel for being in a Foyles - correction, the huge blinking Foyles in London: my favourite shop ever.  What do you expect a girl to do?!   And since I was in a crime mood, I couldn't help stopping by the crime section! ;)
Any way, this is what I got...
